Importer Security Filing Information
The interim final rule for the Importer Security Filing (ISF) program, also known as "10+2," became effective on January 26th, 2009. Under this rule, U.S. importers must electronically submit ten data elements for all expected ocean shipments. The ten elements include seller, buyer, importer of record number, consignee number, manufacturer name and address, ship to party, country of origin, harmonized tariff number, consolidator name and address, container stuffing location and address.
