New Wood Packing Requirements for China
Beginning October 1, 2006, China will mandate a longer fumigation period and higher dosage of methyl bromide treatment for wood packing material. This change is made in accordance with the revised international guidelines published by the International Plant Protection Convention in April. U. S. exporters are encouraged to implement any necessary procedures immediately in order to avoid entry delays when the new regulation goes into effect.
