Brazilian Labor Strike
As you may already know, the Brazilian ports, in particular the ports of Santos, Paranaguá, Itajaí and Rio Grande, Rio de Janeiro and Itaguai , have been presenting serious operational limitations for some months due to strikes, frequent occurrences of bad weather and depth limitations in the canals of access to the terminals.
As a consequence of these events, most of the port terminals are congested, causing delays in the mooring of vessels and overcapacity of the warehousing because most of the cargo that already must be embarked , is on hold in the port. The carriers we work with, with scheduled arrivals to the ports and mooring guarantee today face long wait of days, generating additional costs.
