CVI Launches New Website
NORFOLK, Virginia – May 1, 2007 – CVI, a Norfolk based international logistics and transportation services provider, announced today the launching of a new and greatly improved website to improve interface with customers and marketing efforts.
The new website is one of the final stages of the company’s brand redevelopment which began in July of 2006. “Re-developing a website is a monumental task,” stated CVI president Mike Coleman. “We needed the site to accomplish two goals: provide easily accessible information on our company, and provide a functional resource to our customers.”
The site opens with an impressive flash animation feature emphasizing the company’s core focus of partnership, simplicity, and visibility in transportation management. The site includes an overview of the company’s philosophy, history, leadership, and services.
One of the sections is fully dedicated to customers. That section includes information on international terms of sale, container specifications, regulatory compliance information, industry news, as well as important industry links. “We want our website to be an innovative resource for our current clients and a departure from the ordinary for any visitors. An attractive combination of education and information is what we hope to achieve,” said Venetia Huffman, company vice president.
CVI customers will be able to use the site to access the company’s internet based tracking system and the company’s new share network. “Our share network is an example of our progress this past year in using IT solutions to better serve our customers. We use our secured shared workspace to make reports and other shipping information available to our customers. It is an excellent tool for exchange of accurate information between vendors and suppliers,” Coleman stated.
The new logo, web-site, and marketing materials were developed by Koehler-Nelson Studios; a Virginia Beach based marketing firm. “It is a more contemporary look from their old site and the new site functions more intuitively for the user. Not only is it visually more appealing, it’s more logically constructed. We are proud to help CVI reach their marketing and branding goals with the necessary tools to serve their customers,” said Kim Nelson, partner at Koehler-Nelson.
