CVI Adopts New Look, New Tag Line
In an effort to pre-empt stagnation, CVI brings brand into the 21st century.

NORFOLK, Virginia – October 20, 2006 – In an official statement today, the Norfolk based freight-forwarding firm CV International announced a brand rejuvenation. Among other aspects, the initiative will include an updated brand, a modified website, and a new tagline: “Redefining Global Logistics. ”

“For the past several months, CV International has been developing a new logo to encapsulate our commitment to our customers, fresh ideas, and progress,” says CVI president Mike Coleman. The recent launch included dropping the old and somewhat lengthy name, “CV International,” to the more modern initials “CVI. ” It will continue to operate as a business under the name "CV International, Inc. "

The transition was natural. As Coleman noted, many customers already referred to the company as “CVI. ”

As for the logo, that wasn’t as easy. Over the course of several weeks, the CVI team deliberated on what would best convey what CVI wants for the future, without forgetting a successful rich past. Coleman says, “The blue in the new logo represents our rich history and our continuing commitment to customers. The green, on the other hand, is symbolic of CVI’s drive towards progress. ”

When asked about the ambitious new tag, “redefining global logistics,” Coleman stated that it embodies CVI’s commitment to never settle. “Global Logistics has become an overused catch-term. We don’t want to just be in the business of global logistics. We want to help set the bar by which it is defined. We never stop questioning how this industry and the service we provide to our customers can be made better. ”
