CVI Announces New Vice-President Of Operations & Compliance
The CV International Group of Norfolk, Virginia is pleased to announce the promotion of Venetia Huffman from Branch Manager of the Norfolk office to corporate Vice President of Operations & Compliance. Venetia brings with her many years of experience and education in international transportation and customs compliance.
Venetia graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1980 with a B. A. degree in history. She began her career in transportation as an import/export clerk with the Norfolk, Virginia office of Bemo Shipping Co. Inc. She obtained her customhouse brokers license in 1985. After Bemo Shipping was acquired by MSAS Global Logistics she was promoted to Branch Manager. Venetia later served as Operations Manager at the Norfolk office of DHL Danzas. While at Danzas, Venetia was selected as part of the “Best Practices” brokerage training team.
In 2003, Venetia joined CVI as Branch Operations Manager/Compliance Manager. She has served many terms on the Board of the Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association of Virginia (CBIFFA) and has been certified by the NCBFAA as a customs specialist.
As a member of the executive management team of CVI, Venetia’s goal is to make the company a leader in import and export compliance program assistance and compliance consultation. She is committed to quality customer care and efficient integration of corporate and branch operations.
